The 44th Symposium on Astronomical Engineering

This symposium aims to promote engineering in astronomy by providing a forum for technical exchange and interaction on design, development, improvement, maintenance, and daily operation for engineers and researchers involved in astronomy.
As in previous years, we are looking for a wide range of general presentations this year, including not only the progress of project and other ongoing work, but also successful results, failures, future prospects, and small improvements in daily work.
The organizers will be holding a workshop on the theme of “On-site Perspectives on the Harsh Reality and Future of Open Use.” Recently, we have been hearing more and more about the severe budget situation of the National Astronomical Observatory, and this situation is expected to continue for several years. Therefore, this time we
focused on the “current” of the operation of experimental and test facilities at the observatories and centers that provide open-use facilities. We will share the current situation in the field and provide a forum to think about what we should do in the future.

We look forward to your participation and presentations.
