The 38th Symposium on Engineering in Astronomy will be held at NAOJ (Mitaka) on January 10th and 11th, 2019.
The symposium aims at providing opportunity to discuss and share technical information in Astronomy. In order to attain its aim, the presentations include all fields of engineering and techniques for astronomical engineers and scientists such as designs, developments, maintenance, managements, and so on.
The main theme of the 38th Symposium is "To provide the best place to connect someone seeking technology with someone having technology". It is aimed to provide the place to find better solutions and collaboration for your technical problems. To achieve this goal, we call for presentation covering four categories below:
- a) Release my technical tips,
- b) Ask your technical advice,
- c) My case of collaboration,
- d) Other.
- This symposium is hosted by National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ)
In addition, this symposium will have “group discussion”, which will be useful for technical collaborations and mutual understanding. Also, actual components or and manufacturing samples can be displayed at the poster session.
Oral and poster presentations are presented in Japanese (mainly) and in English. We welcome you to join us for an exciting program in Mitaka in 2019!!
※ We will not prepare excursion program on this symposium.
