Introduction
The 37th Symposium on Engineering in Astronomy will be held in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture at Kurashiki Geibunkan on Dec. 21st and 22nd.
The symposium aims at providing opportunity to discuss and share technical information in Astronomy. In order to attain its aim, the presentations include all fields of engineering and techniques for astronomical engineers and scientists such as telescopes’ and devices’ system designs, developments, and managements.
This symposium will have a new attempt “group discussion". It is aimed to find better solutions for techniques and collaboration with other institutions, in addition to regular oral and poster presentations.
Actual components or and manufacturing samples can be displayed at the poster session.
The program includes two invited speakers Dr. Izumiura Hideyuki from the Director for Okayama Astrophysical Observatory, NAOJ and Prof. Kazunari Shibata from the Director for Kwasan and Hida Observatories, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University.
In this years, Due to schedule reasons, We will start from the morning of first day.
Group discussion will be conducted mainly in Japanese, and oral and poster presentations can be presented in Japanese or English.
